Wastewater plant on council agenda
The wastewater treatment plant is the focus of multiple items on the Danbury City Council agenda as they plan to consider bids for the cleaning and repair of its drying beds, clarifier and race track.
A discussion on hauling off waste from the station is also on the agenda.
Additionally, the city will address a contract for American Rescue Plan Act funds, consider allowing the school district to use City Hall as a base of operations in the case of a school emergency or “event” and have a workshop for long-term city planning.
The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. today at City Hall, 6102 Fifth St.
Council will discuss mitigation grant
Oyster Creek City Council will talk about its application for Community Development Block Grant funds from Brazoria County and how they will apply to use them when it meets tonight. Sewer improvements and a volunteer fire department generator project are options for which the city is seeking bids.
In addition, the city is expected to authorize bids for storm debris monitoring and vote on an ordinance to authorize the necessary steps for the 2023 general election in May.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 3210 FM 523.
