Indigenous people don’t fit stereotype

I’m often asked if I’m an “Indian,” and I’ll reply that I’m Native American. I can’t help but wonder if their look of confusion is because I don’t look like the Washington Redskin football mascot or the Cleveland Indian baseball mascot.

You are really hung up with the false race god. Your blindness , like many other race bondage folks, lump whites all together due to racial ignorance

My family were Irish Americans. We didn’t displace any Indians or own slaves as the so called “ Boat Irish or potato famine Irish”. This group came over in extreme poverty and many were indentured servants

The Irish were treated very badly early in their American experience. The hate shifted when the Italian immigration wave hit. This is another group label as white who didn’t own slaves nor displaced Indians and were treated very harsh

Many don’t want to hear the truth on certain white immigrants to America. Doesn’t for their prejudice

Many, including my family, were forced into the Civil war right at arrival into America to fight for he Union to fight to free the slaves and other war issues.
