A devout evangelical Christian friend of mine recently texted to explain why he was not getting the COVID-19 vaccine. “Jesus went around healing lepers and touched them without fear of getting leprosy,” he said.

This story St. Luke tells in his Gospel (17:11-19) is not the only Bible verse I have seen and heard evangelical Christians use to justify anti-vaccine convictions. Other popular passages include Psalm 30:2: “Lord, I called to you for help, and you healed me.”; 1 Corinthians 6:19: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?”; and Leviticus 17:11: “For the life of a creature is in the blood.”

Nor does the Bible I read state one must get a vaccine. My Bible states one must tell the truth

The media, social media and many others are using pure propaganda to scare people

They aren’t giving truth on dangers of the vaccine or truth of the vaccines resistance to COVID.

Jesus said a man who lies and is of deceit is man of lawlessness. COVID has become a weapon for many to control people. A President using fear mongering and illegal power threatening companies to put them out of business if they don’t force vaccines. Then this same president exempts Congress from his mandates?? Then he allows thousands to illegally come into the US unvaccinated and not tested

I suggest this gentleman seek the truth on vaccines as the Lord says we must continually live

Proverbs 12:17

Verse Concepts

He who speaks truth tells what is right,

But a false witness, deceit.

The opinion writer paints with a very broad brush. One of the greatest gifts God gave us was free will. Seems the opinion writer neither believes in it or appreciates it. He's pretty arrogant too.
