The news Monday that small trials of a new vaccine to protect people against the new coronavirus were showing promise is welcome, providing hope that the scourge of COVID-19 could soon be brought under control.

It also provides hope that the misplaced faith in anecdotal treatment successes can soon join its brethren once featured in the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices.

Awesome. I hope it works for those who choose to get inoculated.

Thank you Dr. Morris for expressing your view on Hydroxychloroquine.

I agree. Mr. Morris thanks for your GOOD INFO on snake oils, hydroxychloroquine, saliva treatments (Ugh) and silver bullets. I understand you are not a physician but do have good sense. Snopes has similar good information for the UNINFORMED.

Check out this link. https://www.henryford.com/news/2020/07/hydro-treatment-study The studies are non-conclusive at best but you, Natives5 and Mr. Morris hate the thought that President Trump promoted it's use to try and save lives. Snopes is not a medical researcher.

7 million hits on google for "hydroxychloroquine is not effective" Here's a few.

I'm glad you agree with 7 million ignorant people. You should be proud and satisfied you're not alone.

natives5

I agree with you also, Mr. Morris. I believe your opinion, which is rooted in facts and research, over the guy who suggested ingesting bleach and UV light internally would eradicate the virus that was going to disappear in a few days. Ironic that that guy is the biggest snake oil salesman in the history of sales.

Father of Six

You disappoint me with your comment. It is now confirmed you have Trump Derangement Syndrome when you try make us believe the President really meant you should ingest bleach and the UV light line. You really have to hate someone to believe that.

natives5

His words not mine but I can see why you blame me for trumps ignorant comments. He even looked at Dr Brix for guidance and asked them to look into it. Yeah he wasn’t being serious (insert eye roll)

natives5

By definition, derangement is marked by an unreasonable response to events — enormous, overheated leaps in logic, preposterous inferences and so on. I think your boy trump suffering from the syndrome. Thanks for the laugh Father of Six

This is just sad. Imagine this conversation about President Obama when he said he visited all 52 states. He said it, but did I think he was so stupid he didn't know there are only 13 states? Seriously Natives5.

natives5

Seriously Father of Six, we did not have to decipher the roller coaster of ignorant comments made by President Obama on a daily basis like it seems to be done with trump. Everyday someone is saying that is not what trump meant. This after he informed us he was the smartest president in the history of the country and aced his cognitive test. Seems someone that smart would not mince his words and need his cronies to clarify what he meant.

Father, thanks for advising of "Trump Derangement Syndrome." I suspected as much, apparently you have info inside the administration. 26th Amendment time?

Mr. Hernandez, thanks there's that, but the other half according to the neice's book - and this more serious - is sociopath, which is a person with Antisocial Personality Disorder. Glad we are getting to the crux of all this.

Father, I agree this conversation is just sad. Please make it stop!
