Consumer warning: Before you get locked into a narrative about how the presidential election will unfold, consider what happened in Maine and Alabama.

Neither event was particularly remarkable or surprising. You could see each of them coming from a lobster boat off the Atlantic coastline (now is the traditional height of the crustaceans’ vacation-time consumption) or a shrimper in the Gulf of Mexico (the state’s brown shrimp season opened six weeks ago). But these results tell us something nonetheless.

Bulldog

Anyone who votes for a democrat seriously hates America and freedom.

You disappoint me when you post that nonsense.

Voter suppression is a far greater danger to our election than the so- called voter fraud trump is pushing. No wonder why his voter fraud commission failed at finding rampant fraud; it’s non-existent.

Bulldog

Joe Biden is the epitome of voter suppression. I can't see why anyone would vote for this imbecile. Especially now since Alzheimers has set in.

Big leap there, Bulldog. trump boasting about doing better than anyone ever on the simple cognitive test that a 5 year old could pass is worrisome don’t ya think? I can’t see why anyone would vote for a man who has divided this country based on his hate and selfishness and who truly doesn’t care about we the people, just “his” people. Bulldog you aren’t one of “his people” even if you support him.

Bulldog

Obama divided this country long before President Trump was elected

I don’t remember President Obama sending troops to attack his own people who were practicing their constitutional right to protest. Always deflecting to President Obama...tsk tsk.

Father of Six

No. President Obama spied on Presidential candidate. tsk tsk.

Father of Six

You don't remember him saying the Cambridge police acted "Stupidly" or if I had a son he would look like Trevon? Or, white people clinging to their guns and God? How about "who' a## should I kick"? Oh how he united us.

Bulldog

I guess protesting is the same as rioting and looting then

Read the IG report on spy gate and let me know where you see that President Obama spied on Trump. Concerning Cambridge, you left off that President Obama said that he has extraordinary respect for the difficulties that police officers face on the job. He put blame on both parties involved and said cooler heads should have prevailed. Trayvon Martin was a young black teenager and President Obama is a black male who could have had a black son; not a far stretch Saying Trayvon could have been his son was divisive how? Trayvon could have been MY son, too. President Obama never used the words white people when Speaking about clinging to guns and bibles and the kicking of aspirin statement was about the oil spill in the gulf. How was that divisive? Bulldog, of course protestors are not the same as looters and rioters. I did watch live on television with my own eyes when trump cleared the peaceful protestors who were in his way so he could cross the street and hold the Bible upside down for his botched photo op.

Natives, good summation. This is tiring; hopefully, this thread will stop.
