Some came in sequins, some in scrubs. It made no matter. The point was for the staff of UTMB Angleton Danbury campus to be celebrated and feel the community’s love.
Fred Ortiz came up with the idea for the party, and his business, Help Inc., spearheaded the effort at the Magnolia Room at the Springs in Angleton on Thursday. As is the Brazoria County way, community partners jumped in to sponsor and to donate prizes so that many, many of the UTMB employees could walk out the door with something special, be it a gift certificate for a haircut, dinner or an oil change, a night’s stay at a local hotel or beach house or a free subscription and umbrella from your local newspaper.
