Two weeks into football training, the only thing on the minds of players, coaches and staff normally would be the start of the regular season. But this is 2020, and every mind remains focused on COVID-19.

Guidelines issued last month by the UIL kept Class 4A and smaller programs on roughly the same schedule as had been planned all along, including games starting the weekend of Aug. 28.
