Standing proud with his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, Lake Jackson’s Jeremiah Soileau shows it off after years of sticking with it, despite obstacles standing in the way.

LAKE JACKSON — Growing up an avid fan of martial arts, Jeremiah Soileau realized his dream of obtaining a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through a 15-year journey.

Soileau was presented his black belt March 14 by Pablo Silva from the Pablo Silva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in Houston.
