SWEENY — Wrapping up her third season as the Sweeny Lady Dog assistant softball coach, Darian Harris never imagined taking over a team would come so soon.

But the former Columbia Lady ’Neck was assigned to be the next Lady Dog head softball coach last week, taking over for Melissa Hansen, who resigned from her position after the 2021 school year.
